Whirlpool CEO Doesn't See Housing Bubble
Whirlpool Corp. Chairman and Chief Executive Jeff Fettig said Tuesday he doesn't see a housing bubble, and reiterated the appliance maker really wouldn't be impacted by it anyway.
Fettig told investors at a Raymond James & Associates conference that Whirlpool has already forecast a "modest decline" in its business. He said existing home sales has more of an effect on the replacement market.
"Again, we're looking for a leveling off, but not a major decline in the existing home sales," said Fettig in a transcript of his remarks provided by Thomson Financial.
