New Housing for Downtown Hull, Gatineau Gets a Boost

The City of Gatineau and the Quebec government are planning to subsidize the construction of low-rise apartment buildings in the downtown Hull sector to bring people back to the city's core.

Developers of four-storey buildings that have at least 20 units will receive subsidies of $215,000 plus a tax credit of 50 per cent of the value of the building for five years.
