Kanata Will Continue to Be the Big Story in Real Estate This Year
The big deal of 2006 will be the JDS Uniphase campus at 3000 Merivale Rd.. The rumour is that the RCMP will be the tenant, but anything can happen there.
You can never tell if new companies will be coming to town, as Dell did, but Kanata is getting so much activity that some companies already established in Ottawa may want to move there to be in the middle of the action. That means prices will naturally go up because there will be sustained demand and decreasing space.
We will be watching that one to see what happens.
