Everyone Wants To Live In Billings, MT
I watched this video documentary about the housing boom in Billings, Montana yesterday. (Hat tip to a commenter at Mish's.)
Eye-opening. Some comments:
1) Apparently, everyone wants to live there. In Billings, MT;
2) Apparently, they're running out of land - in the middle of the open frickin' prairie!The images of these big new houses against the vast openness really brings the scarcity argument into focus;
3) New construction. Many half-empty new subdivisions. My friends, in 2007-08 these are the houses that will not be built, leading to the trees in Canada that will not be cut down.
