Preston Streetscape Project

The City of Ottawa's Planning and Development Department is conducting a study with the goal to developing a streetscape plan for Preston Street, between Carling Avenue and Wellington Street, to identify improvements that will make the street a more attractive public environment. The matters that are being considered through this study include widening of the sidewalks, installation of street furnishings, like street lamps, benches and street trees, accommodation of outdoor patios, provision of sufficient parking spaces, entrance features. The preferred design for the street is to be in keeping with the character of the surrounding neighbourhood and the wishes of the local residents and business community.
